Known as the Trout Capitol of Georgia, Fannin County is located at the southern tip of the Appalachian Mountains near the Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina borders.
Fannin County is just 90 miles north of Atlanta via I-575.

Blue Ridge Lake is a reservoir in Fannin County.
The reservoir encompasses 3,300-acres of water.
"Full summer pool" is approximately 1,686 feet above mean sea level.
Lake Blue Ridge is managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority and is primarily fed by the Toccoa River.

Celebrate the Fourth of July holiday in the Twin Cities of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee!

The date for the fireworks varies from year to year, but rest assured that watching fireworks launched high atop Tater Hill in McCaysville is a sight you don't want to miss!

Enjoy a 4-hour, 26 mile round trip winding along the beautiful Toccoa River in vintage, climate-controlled or open-air rail cars.
The relaxing ride starts at the historic depot, built in 1905 in downtown Blue Ridge. The train will then stop for a layover in the quaint sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee.
McCaysville and Copperhill are located together on the GA/TN State Line, so make sure you snap a picture of yourself "on the line."
Here, you'll have a 2-hour layover with plenty of time to eat, shop and stroll. You'll then re-board the train for the one-hour return trip.
